study the importance of cyclin D1 for the activity of lithocholic acid hydroxyamide (LCAHA)
study the effects of different amounts of transferrin within the polyethyleneimine (PEI)-small interfering RNA (siRNA) complexes on the uptake of fluorescently-labelled siRNA
determine the effect of PTS (polyamine transport system) in the selective uptake of Quilamine HQ1-44, an iron chelator
Cell Line Description
One of 3 strains of malignant cells isolated from a male with colonic carcinoma. Cells are tumourigenic in nude mice and form colonies on agarose. Growth and plating efficiency are enhanced by using a feeder layer of murine fibroblasts.
Cultures from HPA Culture Collections and supplied by Sigma are for research purposes only. Enquiries regarding the commercial use of a cell line are referred to the depositor of the cell line. Some cell lines have additional special release conditions such as the requirement for a material transfer agreement to be completed by the potential recipient prior to the supply of the cell line.
