Better results. Fewer steps. Just elute.
Okay, researchers and science enthusiasts, we've got a question: are you tired of your current DNA and RNA preparation workflow? Do you wish there was something that would simplify your workflow, improve your results, and cut down on waste?
Traditional silica-based spin prep kits require multiple, tedious wash and spin steps with lots of hands-on tube manipulation and little downtime. GenElute™-E Single Spin DNA and RNA Purification Kits use a negative chromatography method based on size exclusion for the purification of genomic DNA (gDNA) from mammalian cells, blood, tissue, and plant tissue samples as well as for DNA and RNA cleanup procedures.
This system eliminates the need for high salt binding and ethanol wash steps, yielding RNA and DNA preparations with fewer impurities for more robust results
In this size exclusion chromatography method, molecules in the sample are separated by size. Smaller molecules such as proteins, lipids, and ionic components become trapped in the pores of the stationary phase of the column. Larger molecules such as DNA and RNA flow through the column quickly because they are too large to enter the pores. By exploiting this difference in size, GenElute™-E purification kits enable DNA and RNA purification in a single spin without the need for multiple binding and wash steps.
Kits are optimized to provide high yield, high concentration, and high purity DNA and RNA for downstream applications such as PCR, qPCR, multiplex PCR, RT-PCR, and next generation sequencing (NGS).
Key applications
GenElute™-E purification kits greatly reduce the amounts of plastic-based components packaged with each kit and consumed while executing protocols in the lab. All tedious binding and washing steps associated with silica-based procedures are omitted, with no use of chaotropic salts or organic solvents that require special disposal. For example, plastic waste can be reduced by 55% compared to common silica workflows, resulting in disposal coast savings and reduced environmental impact.
Rapid and reliable viral RNA extraction and purification technology is essential for disease research, especially for timely results involving SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19). GenElute™-E Viral RNA/DNA kits provide a streamlined workflow to isolate RNA and DNA from nasopharyngeal swabs, genital swabs, and stool samples.
Compatible with dry swabs and a variety of transport media, samples can be processed with a single spin, and purified RNA and DNA can be analyzed in downstream applications like PCR, qPCR, and sequencing. Additionally, GenElute™-E Viral RNA/DNA Kits were evaluated using SARS-CoV-2 RNA swab samples (Figure 1) and stool samples (Figure 2) in qPCR applications

PCR is a beneficial laboratory tool; however, its efficiency is only as robust as the reaction parts, including the nucleic acid template. This webinar demonstrates the benefits of a new negative chromatography method of nucleic acid isolation using GenElute™-E Single Spin technology.
